Windows Media Player Dark Theme

The Return to previous view button is located under the Media Player view button on the toolbar. You can use this button to return to the video in a specific state or the last view. If an interrupt occurs, you can also choose to exit the media player by using this button.

While the player is playing media, the Previous Song button in the status bar takes you to the previous song that is currently playing. There is also a button on the right side of the player controls tab to navigate to the next song. In the single media player mode, this makes it easy to control the playlist with the Arrow keys.

The biggest and most annoying problem is that the subs arent auto downloaded. That means manually fetching a subtitle from a remote server, downloading it locally and adding it to the Player’s library. Right-clicking the Subtitle property in the library opens the Subtitle download manager. You have to have an active internet connection to download subtitles.

The playback control bar has some modifications compared to most other players. Underneath the Play button, you will find either a Playlist or a Music folder for the currently playing media. You can adjust playback speed to 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x and 64x by clicking these buttons. Once the playback speed is selected, double-click the speed selector again to switch to the next speed level.

The Playlist skipping feature is disabled by default in Windows Media Player Dark. To enable it, navigate to the View Tab and tick Playlist skipping under the Video Options drop-down menu.

the portable builds of mpc-hc/be dont in my experience (a few years ago). however, i havent tried the installers. there are no linux ports. if you like the plain (not meant derogatorily) mpc interface, you could try smplayer. it has several guis built in, among which an mpc look-a-like. smplayers linux build is very good in my experience. its here:.
if you still havent tried it out, you should definitely give it a try. i tested it recently on ubuntu 18.04. mpc isnt bad at all when compared with other players. it doesnt support playing the video with the multi-thread option. but you cant go wrong with it. it does have a pretty decent interface.
even though theres no official version of pot player for linux, there is a way to run it on ubuntu using wine. i have tested it out and it works pretty well. you can also install it directly from the official site.
up until now, there was no way to run mpc-hc on ubuntu except to use windows. i dont want to use windows and still want to use mpc-hc on ubuntu. i got a solution. i have been using mpv to play video for a while now. so i went ahead and downloaded mpv and wine. it works as advertised. i just needed a way to control the look and feel of the video using mpc-hc. so i downloaded the mpc-hc userguide (60 kb) and followed the instructions on how to get it to work with mpv. in the end, it looks exactly how i want it to look. i hope this helps others who are using mpc-hc on ubuntu.
i was looking into the discogs music database and discovered it runs on microsoft windows. not only that, it runs on linux too. i was really excited to see that. i wasnt sure if it was possible. i checked it out and it is.
