In the near future (2042) you take part in a unique sports tournament in which robots fight each other to the death on one of the most popular stages of the interplanetary combat.
Adventures of Sam II and his canine companion Duke Nukem, a primitive robot with petrified emotions and a bit of evil inside, wander through the city, stealing, looting, killing and causing mayhem. “Serious Sam 2” packs a punch from the very beginning. There is no in-game tutorial, but you can use the in-game hint system to help you find where things are. You can also look at the readme file which contains the map for all the maps and weapons. 10/10 IGN
Gameplay Tip:
You start the game in a mode called Sniper mode, with a Sniper Rifle and unlimited ammo. Like the first game, you can shoot from as far away as you want and get as close as you want. The only drawback is that you can not move while in sniper mode. Other than that there are no other modes available. 4/10 IGN

The first thing you notice is the lighting and the explosions. When the lighting is good and there are explosions its as if you are in the real world with not smoke coming out of your speakers. 8/10 IGN

The new patch fixes some of the bugs with the start up screen, and you can now enter the Map select mode and change between modes. The game no longer crashes when you load up a level while it is active. The developers should also fix it so you can start that one level when it is closed.

This year has seen a surge in cooperative narrative survival games. You want to survive the zombie apocalypse (H1Z1, Rust), you want to navigate a massive city (Portal), you want to play as a team of mercenaries (Until Dawn). But, wait, there is another type of game out there with a clever twist. This year though, instead of players being alone, or controlling a single character, they are working together to attain a common goal – to kill a ‘predator’. They are Protomata, and they have what I believe is the best type of co-op game I have played in 2016.
Serious Sam might not have had the best start, but this sequel, in my opinion, is the best game of the year so far. Serious Sam 3 was a fun, but ultimately very buggy game. It was bland, there was nothing new, and the game played nothing like the original. No-Lives strives to get away from the failures that made the first Serious Sam a pretender, delivering a much more enjoyable and polished experience.
No-Lives takes place in a world where the earth has been bombarded with acid for the last 28 years, leaving many once flourishing cities dead and inhabited by aggressive acid creatures known as Apocripha. The game is set in a vast metropolis called ‘The Factory’, where survivors are attempting to survive in the nightmarish factories that were once cities and which now house many of the Apocripha. Players work alongside up to four other survivors in order to take out an Apocripha boss – the Al Rai. This involves time-traveling, journeying through backstreets, and a journey through the games biggest plothole – why would a being so powerful leave the big city for the small unassuming metropolis?
This and many other questions are eliminated when the focus is shifted away from the story, due to most players skipping the opening movie chapter (yes, even Jonathan Pang takes that route), and diving straight into the action. So, what is so different about this game? I cannot stress this enough, but whatever you do, don’t run ahead of yourself. There is so much to see and do, and so much information you have to click in order for the game to keep track of it all. It’s the biggest downside in this game, not because it is difficult to play,
