the indian actor and voice actor anupam kher, better known for his work in hindi cinema is also an actor, producer, and poet. he is known for his work in the hindi language film industry. he made his debut in the role of police constable mahinder vardhan in rajkumar gupta’s pardes (1989). he is best known for his role as birju in the indian film, koyla (1990) directed by yash chopra, which earned him a filmfare award. kher is also known for his work in films like gandhi (1992), the sadhu (1993), mrityudand (1997), aurat (1998), dev (1999), chupke chupke (2003), jab we met (2008), don 2 (2012), piku (2013), sultan (2014), jai ho (2015), 2 states (2016), fanney khan (2016), karwaan (2018), raazi (2018), and pataakha (2020), gully boy (2019) and bhool bhulaiyaa (2019).

there were 11 members of the commission and they were elected by the supreme court as a judge-mediator in this exercise. the commission has been in existence for five decades. during the emergency, it played a significant role in the circulation of information that was being collected by the secret government agencies of the government of the day. the commission was indeed a body which was known for its impartiality and independence. in fact, it was the only institution which gave oracles through information which was shared by it with the government. as a result of the ban on the printing of the jan sangh, the commission could not issue a single judgement. for five years, it was not possible for the people of the country to know what the government was doing in their name.
