Clicking CTRL on a shape layer opens a shape’s layer properties. Clicking V at any time on the shape layer toggles between the three shapes within the layer’s shape fill dialog box. Clicking D toggles the visibility of the layer and removes the shape from the current document. If you have selected a vector object, clicking Ctrl D prompts the following message, “Layer Sorting and Locking are not allowed on this type of layer.” To disable this behavior, click No.
