Here we are with the second Adobe Photoshop review of June 2015 that is dedicated to the new announcement of Photoshop CS 6. This review is about the new features of the new update and development of tools in Photoshop, it will not be about Photoshop CC 2015. In fact, some of the new features and new tools are also in the LR CC 2015 which already is being downloaded automatically while I write this review. But we will put something about what a great update the new release is.

Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 for Mac computers (and Windows version) is coming out now. The new update includes lots of bug fixes and improvements, especially in the meeting feature. It also brings the new GPU power with hardware acceleration for more speed and less noise in renderings. In the version 20.0 the performance improvements are impressive. These new terms are only available in the latest release of the Photoshop.

When Adobe launched Lightroom 5, some reacted negatively to its use of the canvas metaphor and to its removed direct manipulation features, which were replaced with Layer panel, Effects panel, and Develop module. Lightroom 5 mimics the direct manipulation interface perfectly though it also lacks the ability to blend layers like Adobe Photoshop CS6. Lightroom 5 is a fully featured version of Lightroom with a slightly less effortless user interface. To reflect this, I have used the file supplied by Adobe for this review instead of the companion software of my previous review, Lightroom 4.

Adobe Photoshop’s tools are also adjustable. The Pot Size tool lets you change color levels in smaller increments, making it easier to paint out dark spots. It’s little surprise that Adobe’s Creative Cloud subscription services have been a big draw for professionals, with both cloud-based versions of Photoshop and Lightroom outselling any Photoshop or Lightroom product sold separately.

The software also comes with the Adobe CC Creative Cloud Library, which is a way to sync files from other Adobe apps. Advantages include a larger library, support for Microsoft Office files, and faster loading of files.

The monthly subscription service was recently revamped and allows for an unlimited number of computers to be used. The option allows users to redraw their own effects, which could be applied in future versions of the software.
