Part 1: Programming and Art:
“I followed the tutorial from Tynan Ko’s website which was quite easy to understand. To solve this game I used the Unity3d engine.”
Part 2: Design and Implementation:
“After finishing Part 1, I thought of a new mechanic involving player’s lifestrength and decided to also implement powerups since the game had begun to grow considerably bigger. After the basic concepts had been implemented, I wanted to add more variety to the enemies and so started experimenting with spawning random health percentages and colours based on the world’s biomes to create distinct enemy spawn.”
Part 3: Audio & Music:
“For the music and ambience in the game, I had used some of my personal music as reference. For the sound effects, I actually used a lot of the audio I had created for a research project I had conducted at my university, in which I had analysed the performance of the piano using a Linux audio program. I extracted the timbre of the piano, recorded it on a mic, and then played it back on my computer. For this project, I wanted to do something interesting with this recording and this is why I

Your mission is to destroy the monkeys hidden in the jungle and control the army of monkeys with your crazy combat cannon.
INTRO
Welcome to Monkey Madness, a gory survival shootâem up on the Nintendo Entertainment System. In this game you are given an arsenal of weapons to use in order to stop a large colony of bloodthirsty Monkey! The controls are simple and the graphics are your standard E.S.P. style. The music is well done, but the sounds made when you hit the monkeys are absolutely horrific. This game should have a sticker on it describing the content. Itâs really not for young children! From a schoolboyâs point of view this game is really awesome! Graphics: Art looks ok; nothing too special, sound: can be better; interesting music; excellent for the system, but children really shouldnât play this unless they are fairly mature.
Play Information: Controls are simple, use the A, B, C or Z keys to move, and the Space bar to fire. To fire the cannon you can either use the movement keys or you can assign the space bar to fire. Your gun is locked in the position it was at when you last touched it (Cannon = Straight, Aim, Fire). (There are multiple types of guns; these are the most common.)
Gameplay: The game consists of 9 basic levels, each with a different type of environment and type of weapon. First five levels are fairly easy, but the last four are horribly hard, involving fighting dozens of monkeys at a time, using the cannon to hit them in the face. Controls are very simple, no time-controls or special weapons, just hit them as quickly as you can and see how much damage you can do.
Monkey Madnessâs main campaign of 9 levels is separated into 3 modes: âRealisticâ, âOddâ and âInnovationâ. These modes are exactly what they sound like and are outlined in my guide to the game, but Iâll still explain them for you.
In the âRealisticâ mode you have the available weapons (2, 3, 5, 10, 30, 50, and more) and you can move left or right at will, before shooting the monkey. In âOddâ mode the weapons are the same, but instead of moving left or right before firing, you have to move up
