L.A. Noire 1.3.2617 Update – RELOADED

Even that wouldnt be so bad if the game had better save file or quick dialogue options. Reloading over and over to replay a section gets boring and laborious, especially for the longer cases that require travel to multiple locations. As you can see above, we gave the Vive controllers a bash, rolling them around in a complex office environment. This brief demo showed that regardless of any additional movement and sensory effects that using the controllers might add to a game, the main feature of non-VR L.A. Noire is that the player is able to physically perform the actions they need to by just pressing a button on their controller. It doesn’t matter whether it’s the head-up display that shows you the input you need to give, or the simple question of “can you pull a trigger,” or “which of these buttons represents a barrel,” or the question “do you press the button to check the evidence bin?” It’s not VR that’s adding anything important here, its the controller in your hands that makes L.A. Noire feel so special.

when l.a. noire launched, many people called it simply a simulation. no one had seen a game that was as tightly scripted, as finely tuned, or as complex as this. and it was not a simulation. it was an interrogation simulator. you were a detective, but not a stereotypical one. you could not simply ask questions. you had to beat the truth out of a suspect. and your success was determined by how much you could establish an emotional connection with your suspect, and by how much you could get them to open up. in this respect, it was one of the most important games of the last generation. and that means it is still one of the most important games of this generation.

A really, really amazing thing is happening with L.A. Noire (it’s not happening with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files). L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files  is a new VR experience in which players travel back in time to uncover the truth behind Los Angeles’s most notorious murders. The game, which came out last month, is getting a free update that lets you play old-school L.A. Noire with your DualShock 4.
I am sure that many PSVR owners will appreciate the extra challenge of these minigames while playing L.A. Noire, but the developers have also included a few extra features they think it makes for a very different, yet equally amazing, L.A. Noire experience.
Email Address Rockstar Games brought L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files (2017) to PSVR in a surprise launch last September, bringing along with it some minigames to keep you shooting, punching, and driving with moxie well after youd interrogated your last suspect. Now, the studio has released these previously exclusive minigames for PC VR players too.
