The Lord of the Rings: The Living Temple for the Nintendo Switch™ is, unfortunately, one of those games. As I’m sure you know, Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy is the basis for more than a billion dollars worth of movies. This new game, which was announced earlier this month, is based on Middle-earth and all of the epic adventures in the book series. It’s coming to the Nintendo Switch and was developed by Sparkypants Entertainment.

While we haven’t had time to play it yet, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that The Lord of the Rings: The Living Temple is probably not going to be the Tolkien game that you’re looking for. I’m pretty disappointed because I’m a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings, and I really like the idea of playing it with a group of friends. I’m also a big fan of The Walking Dead: Season 2 and liked The Walking Dead: Season 3, so I’m not the only one out there who thinks that The Lord of the Rings: The Living Temple is derivative and a complete mess.
