One way to introduce AutoCAD is to show how to create a 2D drawing. First, open AutoCAD. It should be closed when you start the software. Click the Show Area tool on the View menu to select a square area, or drag the square box around with the scroll wheel. History

AutoCAD was originally developed on the C64 by Simon Benhamou, a student at UC Berkeley. Version 1.0 was released in 1989.

In 1991, Benhamou joined Autodesk as a marketing manager. He led the release of AutoCAD in 1992, creating a much higher version than existed before. He also taught people how to use AutoCAD.

In 1994, Benhamou was made a partner in the company, and now holds the title of Autodesk Chief Scientist and Innovation Officer. AutoCAD is the company’s flagship product, and it is the foundation of the Autodesk line of products.

In 2004, AutoCAD Architecture was released. AutoCAD Electrical was released the following year.

In 2009, AutoCAD 2010 was released.

In 2013, AutoCAD 2013 was released, featuring enhancements such as an improved user interface and the ability to move and rotate parts of blocks.

In 2014, AutoCAD 2014 was released, featuring features such as improved collaboration and remote access through Autodesk’s cloud services.

New Import and Markup
