How we got here is the story of many games…we get excited to a new game by a new company and tell the world about it. Well what is “New?” What is “Company?” The “New” part includes New Studio/Developer and the “Company” part means that this has been planned for a while and is not a huge rush release game. For this we have ELDEN RING…a game developed by a company called Mayfield Studios which was founded by…J.Scott Mayfield! His name is easy to remember and instantly shows you the type of game developer this is going to be. The game has been developed by a company that has been around for a while and has released other games in the past. Game play and design will be more focused on the previous games than this will be a fresh start for you this time around. With that said this is going to be a great game for the fans of the old style of fantasy style games.

So where do we go from here with the game play? This game is not going to be like any other game you have played in the past! Some time ago the company was doing research on what people liked in fantasy games. The game here is a heavily story based game that takes place in the Lands Between. This is basically between your own game world and your version of the real world. We get past the game start and you are pulled into the Lands Between. This is a very wide and open world. When you first start the world is completely empty and you are the only one there to start your adventure. You don’t know anything about the game world or the rules this world follows. You are transported to your home land and have no idea how you are supposed to get out of here. Now why would they teleport you to your home land? This is a story that will unfold as you play and that you will be able to uncover over your adventures. As you explore there will be different story events that will unfold and if you play the game correctly it will lead you to new lands and experiences. This is going to be a massive and challenging world to get through, but how hard can it be?
