The “Flip Clock” idea was simple and original.
But the person who thought of it spent too much time on the UI, and forgot about the functionality. It works nicely if you want to look at the time from your monitor’s top-left corner. The title text is more of a misprint, to be honest.
Apart from that, you can customize the look of this window. It can be transparent, the date can be shown in military time, etc. The time can be shown with seconds, too.

This is a decent looking gadget. It has a simple gimmick, and is very light weight.
I’m not sure why it works like it does, but I’m very confused by it.
I took a screenshot showing my clock with a late or early time of 7AM. The time shows the date, but not in military time, which is 6AM. Why is this? And also, how do I set my time zone?

Flip Clock is a simple gadget for your desktop that displays the current time and date in a frame resembling a classic flip clock. It can be tried out by all users who are looking for something different when it comes to screen clocks.
The small frame can be moved to any position on the screen and, via the built-in OS features, you can make it stay on top of other windows. Therefore, Flip Clock is not intrusive when you’re working in other applications at the same time.
The gadget includes a few customization preferences. You can write text to be shown as the frame title, change the window size (regular, big, humongous), show seconds, and switch to military time mode.
Furthermore, you can select another time zone and GUI skin, as well as check for online updates with one click, and access the Windows date and time properties area to make adjustments. Last but not least, it is possible to set another opacity level for the main panel, thanks to the Windows default options.

I was wondering what people use for keeping track of their household and errands that they need to get done. Being in the U.S., we have lots of ‘fun’ weekends, so a simple and quick system is needed for just keeping track of everything. I’ve tried a couple of ‘task managers’ in the past, but they aren’t really built for this kind of thing. Are you using a task manager or anything else for doing the same?
